The Mind Is A Dangerous Place

Things that should boggle the mind but do not

Alright, applied for a full time job in the city. We shall see if I will get it! On other notes, am thinking of starting my novel soon... though the scope of it sorta scares me. Most of the info's in my head and have yet to write it down in notes... which scares me as well. Everything scares me now. It's that sad.

Dad's gone to Singapore, Sis is in Shanghai, only mom and me now. Meaning I get to use the tv more... means more Sakura Taisen goodness! Oh me oh my!

Finally, some English words I thought you should noe. Got this off a book (where else?) which talked about lost English words.

Rigmutton - slut (As in: 'Man, that Britney bitch is such a rigmutton!')
Adam's Ale - water (As in: 'Man, I'm so thirsty I could down a barrel of Adam's Ale right now.')
Aflunters - state of disorder (As in: 'My fucked up life is in an aflunters at the moment.')
Azzardly - poor (As in: 'I'm such an azzardly boy it's not funny.')

more words when I write them down :)

Amidst the strums of 'Moon on Water', listening to the gentle tones of a soulful guitar, I reflect on the events of today. Namely bitches who think so haughtily about themselves, they and their superiority.

Consider this.

Indian woman of perhaps 30s walks in, and asks if we have books by Salman something. I asked her for the spelling to which she quizzically said,

"What? You don't know him? He's like the most famous writer in the world, won 2 Booker prizes etc etc."

I shook my head in sorrow and earnestly replied that there were too many books and authors to remember all of them, even the 2 Booker prize winning Salman so and so.

She gave a derisive snort and walked out of the shop, pissing me off to no end. I mean... come on! It's not as if I know every book out there is it? To each his own right? OMG THAT BITCH. I had the mind to ask her if she knew Frank Herbert, whose book Dune won the Hugo Award and Nebula Award? Or Neil Gaiman's Coraline? Or perhaps Edward Said's interest in Orientalism? Or Dan Simmon's Kali? Haruki Murakami?

Sigh. Plus, I have to decide on a career course soon. What do I want to do? This pressure is returning as my full time stint comes to an end.

Why is it soooooooo cold!!!!!!!!!!??????????/

Damn Shiki. Four seaons in a day is sick.
So wat's been up? Watching Beck, which is a cool anime, and listening to Beck music... which is AWESOME music. Punk with that unexplanable quality that's irresistable. My pants died at work today.... was a little embarressing. Suffice to say, no one actually found out what happened.... thank God.

Also, u have to read The Neverending Story by Michael Ende. U loved the movie? The book will blow you away.... the writing... is excellent, creative and very very imaginative to a fault. The perfect children's book I swear. Try it out!

Shattered peace of day
Lives blink out of the sky
The world mourns a sad song
It will never be the same

It still shocks me to know that a single act can cause so much anguish, so much change. We are furtively looking over our shoulders constantly and friendships do not last long. Yet in the midst of such chaos, in our world of fleeting sensibilities, let us remember the ones that suffered the most. Let us remember how terrible Humanity can be. Let us remember how it is to know constancy and maybe, find peace after all.
