The Mind Is A Dangerous Place

Things that should boggle the mind but do not

If you haven't heard of the Dave Matthews Band, then you've missed out on a superb band. This castpost is the Christmas Song, and is something I thoroughly recommend.

Sleep has left me in the dust it seems, all thanks to this marvellous game called soccer. All those fun nights/mornings of waking up at the oddest hours. Sends shivers down my injured spine. Jsut saw Italy triumph over Germany this morning amidst a haze of slumber. Still, caught the goals so aint complaining.
But the headache that came at work... well.. that was complainable.

For the weekend, met up with Jada and Alicia for a dvd, and sad to say, will probably not see them for a while. They go bye bye. And when they leave, I shall be somewhat sad. Unless they send me presents.
Then I crashed at Stef's place for Sat night, watching Grease and the Rocky Horror Picture Show or something like that. That was one hell of an insane movie. I didn't know Tim Curry was suitably crazy, but man... the energy. I had no idea what the hell was going on, but what I know my dear friends....

is how to do the TIME WARP!!!!!!

Then on Sunday, went to see Eminence play at the Town Hall. And although I had already booked tickets to watch this concert, I still had to wait in a uber-long snake-like line in the rain and cold. I was not impressed in the least. NOT. HAPPY. TOWN HALL.
Still, we got in. And we watched Eminence do their stuff. They play anime music btw, pulling from merely Ghibli and Final Fantasy music. While the heart and execution was somewhat decent, the variety of songs was appalling. No Yoko Kanno. No Yuki Kajiura. No Juuni Kokki music!!! ARGH.
But they played decently later on in the second half and some of the songs were damn good. Of course, it helped that they had Youmi Kimura, the bona fide songstress/composer of several Ghibli songs. She got the most applause I think ;)

And KATAMARI!!! THEY PLAYED KATAMARI!!!!!! Lalaaaa, lalalalalalalalaaala Katamari Damashii....

Ahem

That ended and we rushed to Crown, where we had a steamboat to celebrate Agnes's, Kenneth's and Stef's bday! Happy Bday! The steamboat was hell good! Really good, spicy, food. I dun really take to spicy stuff, but that was really delicious! Will, sorry, MUST go there once again.
Erm, popped by frens place to get thrashed in Winning 11, then Kenneth's place for sex... erm.. sleep. Typo there sorry.
But instead of sleeping, I played Playboy Mansion til 6am in the morning.

Damn you Playboy Mansion.
