When we were Gods, the roads were paved with gold
People lived as kings, not missing the souls they sold

When we were Gods, those secrets held no sway
Our thoughts were absolute, our words were taught as the way

When we were Gods, our love could change the world
There were no Winter's Day, your lives our fingers would twirl

When we were Gods, we stole the stars away
We laughed the night away, the sun didn't rise that day

When we were Gods, the dark seemed not to end
Demons came out to play, they would look for flesh to rend

When we were Gods, survivors came too few
The demons would live long, we didn't know what to do

When we were Gods, the gates stood not for long
We brought out the swords, and prayed the shields were strong

They came at us like fire, two thousand at the start
The demons screamed for murder, fear stabbed in the heart
The horn was blown in thunder, we charged one sound one time
We met and crashed and battled, our fates now intertwined

We cut
We slashed
We killed
We clashed
We ran
We screamed
Lost hopes
Lost dreams

When we were Gods, blood splashed on every wall
We heard the dying cry, we saw the living fall

When we were Gods, we ran all through the night
Held the hearts of the dead, they gave us a little light

When we were Gods, we found the Old Man's Train
We took it far away, never returned again

The world is now not ours, the demons have it all
The walls have all but crumbled, the loss of love and law
We once were Kings forever, once were Gods before
Now we live in silence, we are Gods no more

So what has been happening in this exciting life of a paperseller? Of course, normal, traditional paper that have semi-thoughtful words (if ur lucky) on them would turn these pages in very interesting (again, if ur lucky), books.
Well, nuttin much.... again... other than work work work. And mothers day. Which was uneventful except for....

THE LION KING

Ah yes, the Lion King musical was great! The singing, especially by that african lady who plays rafiki, was awe-inspiring. Very rarely have I heard such sharpness, such strength, such blatant emotion in unintelligible words. She was communication her soul to us and we lapped it up so eagerly. The costumes were amazing and the choreography/puppetry was magical. You had to have been there. Apart from an anti-climatic ending, the show was really good. Go catch it.. gonna end soon.

Now what else... been playing Call of Duty 2, which is torrents of fun. Running at enemy gunners is always a joy.

Handed in my uni application today and so I wait in blissful anticipation (which is an oxymoron dear pple), for the results. Fingers crossed and all that. And met with Huiz today. Dear, darling huiz, that little tuft of enthusiastic fluff that never fails to brighten my ever-mundane day/week/month/forever. Just wanna hug her and squeeze her and love her forever. Maybe I should embalm her... maybe...
Caught up with her after ages, and found out some things that I should have known before. Sad to know I couldnt be there for her then. Sigh. But all good now!
Sukiyaki with neth, kenny and ly at night which is always a hilarious time. I had Kenneth's tofu and it was sinfully delicious. Oh yes Hell, your gaping maw awaits me I know. But that silky soft Kenneth's tofu is really really.... silky smoothy soft...

ok goodnight
