The Mind Is A Dangerous Place

Things that should boggle the mind but do not

Strange how hours of work can wear down the most happy of souls and most rested of bodies. I feel heavy, and tired and drained... my only refuge being this sleek black computer blasting Multi-Colored Vox, Suikoden V and good ole-fashioned porn.

Porn watching at night of course. With hand action. Makes me proud and strong.

Anywaes, you want to know of my trip. I could try to note down the many myriad details that constituted my travels to the exotic East... though I technically was travelling west... north-west...

Still...

Let's put this into context, let's organize it... let's... put... dates!

Friday 14th April

Left Aus almost without a hitch. The hitch being my dad requiring to show the same credit card (which he forgot to bring) he ordered our tickets with. Which I think is a very unneccessary procedure. The guy was mean, harrumphed and ahhed and ooohed and made many similarly disapproving noises. But we got through that and customs uneventfully. Thank God.
On the plane, normal plane fare. Watched Touch, which was good and another Jap one which was entertaining.
Reached Singapore at 10pm, where Dad's fren took us the Westin. I like the Westin. It so big. 2 double beds in a suite. Ahhh... the life.
Dad plopped his stuff on the bed, turned to me and said, "Well, I'm off the the KTV. U wanna come?"
Talk about happening.
I declined his offer, and called up Ruiling to go gallavanting about the island. Was good to see that little girl again... in a big CRV thing. She took me to Jazz at South Bridge, which had an awesome live gig. Drinks were ex and notthat nice, but the company and atmosphere was electric. The singer was superb, very Ella styled with funk but the main course (which no one expected to show up) was the maestro cat Jeremy Monteiro. An unassuming plump man, he sat on the baby grand, waited for his band to set up, and after proipping his glasses properly on his nose bridge.... touched those ivory keys.

I was blown away. This my frens, was mindblowing. He was a master. A damned full-styled master. He proceeded to play 3 songs, each about 6 miunutes in length, capturing my attention throughout. His skill was undeniable, his sense of music ultimately cool. I was enthralled, swaying like a cat in a black bag. This was music. This was jazz.

Then it was all over. He left the bar... and I was left stunned. My God... he was good.

We left too, talking about that piece of a dream we had. She drove me home, I invited her up, we had sweet sweet love in the bath tub.

Ok... I lie. Cant hurt a guy for dreaming. Back to porn.

anywaes, she dropped me off at the hotel and we said our goodbyes, see each other soon etcetc, and I went up, showered and fell to bed. Dad came back an hour later... at 3am. Damn happening lor.

Shall I chat about Sat? No... that will be another day. And no, no fotos on the first day.
