This has not been a good day. There are only so many rejections a person can take. And I come back to work for some peace and quiet at home (shit.. i sound old...) and I find that I have to entertain, missing the movie i wanna watch... and washing all the dishes. I dunno man, I'm not in a very good mood. Depressed more like.

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! Yes, the season of red is here. I love this time, not only for the ang paos of course, though they do bring a certain zest in the wishing goodwill process. The ang pao gathering strats are important as one has to plan the paths to good money-earning. For instance, the tested and true method of sucking up to the wealthy affluent relatives/friends has always brought in the dough. Batting of eyelashes, demure shyness at appropriate times and the eagerness to pour tea are subtle plans of action as well.

But it's not just the money making part that gets the blood pumping for this terrific holiday, nor is it the 3 day holiday we get during this time. It's the fun when we play blackjack with money, or mahjong, the gossip, crappy television dramas, food and traditions. Fellowship and atmosphere. That's Chinese New Year.
