The Mind Is A Dangerous Place

Things that should boggle the mind but do not

I amuse myself with THIS

No compass in sight
She strums that old guitar
Looking for a roadsign
Or that Northern Star

"You're my only wish,"
She whispers a cold, sad song
Walking alone on a highway
I don't think she's that strong

Hold her hand tightly
Give her what she needs
That's all I can do for her
In the end it's she who leads
Try to pick up diamond tears
It's all she's got to pay
And maybe it'll get better dear
It'll be better someday

This could probably be my worst year ever. Not even the advent of bad A Levels in 2000 could compare to this catastrophic year. It's a bungled transition that promised so much, and yet showed me how bad things could be.

What have I gained other than a pittance of monetary items?

Nothing. Zip. No new friends, no new careers, no new nothing. Except for the recognition that I just cant be good at anything at all. My friends, sad to say, I'm a bona fide failure. And it's true.

Ok, I know I haven't been blogging. Cant blame me, I haven't found anything really that interesting to talk about. My life is this... nvm. Anywaes, composed something for you!

Just Me and You

Won't you soar like the four and twenty blackbirds
in the sky
Tear out my heart, put in the oven
and bake a pie
The fat man's counting money and the witch is hanging babies
Whose tears they run over those thin laundry lines
As you fall those lines and the rhymes to a world where
The rules just don't matter
Just remove that mask of lies

Why don't you hold my hand I'll take you to the motherland
To a world where white is black and black is bland
To a land where the leaves fall up instead of down
Where thinkings come in forms of sound
Where there are orange skies in fields of blue
And all is love and beautiful
Just me and You

Do you know how to kill with that
innocent face
To tell you the truth it's rather easy when
living in this place
Do you sometimes hear the song that the mockingbird sings
The whisperings found inside your head inside of you
As you wail and you flail at the walls that surround you
While keepers feed you honey
Like a beast inside a zoo

Hop in the back I'll take you past the sand and sea
To the line between a paper mind and insanity
I'll take you to a place
A magic room and secret hole
Where Elvis hid the hearts he stole
Where kings play pawns without a rule
And all your wishes really do come true
Just Me and You

Why did you lie to me?
Is it what I'm supposed to be?
Tell me the truth of the monsters that
live in my head
Crying soldiers have longed to find
Televised pictures of blind leading blind
Would it be peaceful if all of the world loved instead?

Let me take you dancing, it's a pretty sunlit sky

Wipe off the slate and let the fire run its course
Close your eyes to the photographs of love and loss
I'll take you to that land
Of fairy tales and sleeping seas
Imagine poems in the breeze
Where kids make sounds of planes that flew
And the mockingbird sings along too

Why don't you hold my hand I'll take you to the motherland
To a world where white is black and black is bland
To a land where the leaves fall up instead of down
Where thinkings come in forms of sound
Where there are orange skies and fields of blue
And all is love and beautiful
Just me and You

Just me and you
