The Mind Is A Dangerous Place

Things that should boggle the mind but do not

Right. Sorry for the lack of updates.... so I'm gonna attempt to make this particular entry that bit lengthier. So pardon me if I rant a little too much, or swear now and then to make up the word count, or dance in tiny little circles as what my bio tells you... it's all part of the show. And we all enjoy some form of entertainment now don't we?

So yes, Wed was my day off, a time when I fixed my Hard Drive by some very nice computer pple down in Burwood. Thus my ability to headbang to emo X Japan music right now. I am very grateful.

Thursday and it's back to work. Sleeplessness prevails here, in the form of walking zombies. Didn't do much then, neither did I have the energy to enjoy anything other than reading my Dan Simmons book. I like my Dan Simmons book. Takes me so far far far away.

Did I mention I hate Fathers Day? Perhaps not the day itself and the celebration of all that is fatherly. But rather, I detest the repercussions this day has on the children/wives. In short, they come in droves. To my store... and ask me impossible things.

"I'm looking for a book." *looks around in wonder*
"I don't have the title or author but I know it's about a girl."
"The book is pink."

A little girl of perhaps 3 years comes to the counter.
"Where are all the books?" she asked me. After the grimace vanished off my face, I aided her as best as I could.
"That way and to your left," I said, pointing in the direction of the children's section. She waddled to where my finger pointed and I never saw her ever again.

Friday, work as usual, tiring but yeah... am used to it. Other than the stacking of books. I prob know where all the books are now. I've put away so many during the week. A regular librarian ant I am. Vic came over to stay for the night. He brought pizza, which we didn't eat, cause Mom cooked "Dumpling dinner". Twas good. Watched the hilarious Tokyo Godfathers and went to blissful sleep... which was interrupted by...

... the arrival of Saturday. The day before Father's Day. UGH. All the people, the madness.... the books. When they say they let ur hobbies be ur work... they were right. I have this inbred hatred to books now. But it's ok... Dan Simmons... will save me. David Gemmell book came out too!!! Woot! And pple buy it!!!!! I will get one too... soon. Anywaes, work would have been a killer if not for my colleagues... who were these two adorable, mean pair who could shave the hair off your hairy testicles and serve it with those testicles in an ice-kachang flair. I had fun.

Night came and it was off to the city for dinner with my frens. Ah... frens, my life-force. Was fun, chatting, bagging and being mean. But I had to go home cause work called me on Sunday. Before that however, I started reading the Beck manga, which I assure you... is fuckin (the swear word!!!!!!) fabulous. If only I knew how the music sounded like. It's inspiring I tell you, and makes me wanna learn an instrument all the more. Ahhhh....

And today is Sunday! Happy Fathers Day and all that. I was in charge of the store today and it didn't burn down!!! IT DIDNT BURN DOWN!!!!! Imagine that! I can control after all. And we punched the sales target to bits and pieces. Oh yes, I rock. And my lovely colleagues of course (nah). After that, went to an Italian restaurant, omg... kurenai is playing!!!!, and had good food there for relatively cheap prices. My wallet is not screaming and I'm content. Watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind at home and once again, it floored me with its kookiness, ingenuity and plain heart. I still give it 5 stars cause it bloody oans. And now I'm typing this wonderful blog entry for all my fans to read.

Oh oh, incidentally, on Sat, I found "HI!!" girl. Chanced upon her (spy from the corner of my eye) at the food court and lo and behold, she works nearby! Stalking her revealed her occupation as an Optus sales person and now, am thinking of a way to talk to her and ask with a solemn, yet puzzled expression why she would haunt my psyche so.

No, I am not deranged. Merely and simply demented.

Now, go to sleep, u bore me. No, I didn't mean that...pls... come back... pls? I have money?
