The Mind Is A Dangerous Place

Things that should boggle the mind but do not

As I write this, I realize I have not written in a while. Partly because of my mishap with a trojan that happened to destroy my files in the comp, and also because of a lack of things happening in my mundane life.

As I write this, I am trying to get my head around editing grammar, and trust me, there are tons of grammar stuff to explore. So much and too much for a simple mind like mine to envelop about. Still, this fun and the challenge is actually rather tantalizing. That's Editorial English, and then there's Business in Professional Communications, which is kinda the business side of the whole publishing thing. There's the reports to write, the angles to chase, the marketing hooks involved in pitching an idea. Yeah. Pitching. Advertising terms no? I have to find an out of print book to release back into the world. Not for real of course, but the procedures involved are daunting in their entirety. I'm not sure if I can survive this part, but I must persevere unfortunately. Comes with spending 2.5k on each sem. My 2.5k. I want money pls.

Weekend was rather eventful I must say. Manager got picked up by the delivery guy and went to Copacabana for a date on Saturday night. Note, this is the manager and not your lovely writer here. Instead, this delectable dish headed off to the city for some well-earned soundblasting in the form of his favourite sport - Karaoke. And I even brought lyrics. Romanji lyrics to sing those damn Jap songs I've always wanted to sing. Take that Jap songs. And damn you Bon Jovi! People shldnt be able to sing so high. But Bohemian Rhapsody and Go West brought the house down indeed. That was fun. So much fun.

Sunday was Taka's bday and hopefully she liked it. It was pretty much a rush job and I had to get most of the stuff. Still, ended up ok I thought. Though the food was a trifle expensive. I mean, 4 prawns for 30 bucks? But Happy Bday Taka, no dedication for you yet, I have little inspiration atm.

Monday and Tuesday involved Uni, and I was in that fair ground where learning took place. I also crashed the Go Club to visit Taka, after which the club extorted 15 bucks from me. Money that has yet to be returned. Sigh. And also got my ass kicked by a newbie Go player. Reason being I had no idea how to play Go, but Taka made me play the girl anyways. Go Go Club! The girl was pretty though. I want to play Chinese Chess. I might win. Might.

Today at work was tiring for a reason. Was sleepy the whole day. Might catch some earlier shut-eye. You know it won't happen. I know it won't happen.

But ladies and gents, I bid you adieu. At $15.
