The Mind Is A Dangerous Place

Things that should boggle the mind but do not

I tell you, there's nothing greater than grooving and moving to jazz. When I was at Angie's place, she was listening to George Michael's "Songs from the Last Century", one of his few jazz cds. And it was wonderful to listen to.
Got back and chanced upon a Brazilian film on SBS, which had nice, soft, bossa nova.. and bossa nova always puts me in a good mood.
So I went to my room and put on some Stan Getz, some Nat King Cole, and Verve and did work on my fanfic... and I finished it. Imagine that. All I got to do now is some editing and I can hand it in for Manifest. Ahhhhhh.... the sweet smell of sort of satisfaction. I didn't really like this piece of writing... but it could be better with some editing... who knows.

Got kicked out of my house today. Housemate wanted to bring a girl home... so he kicked me n another housemate out from 4 to 9. Pretty amusing really. Got to watch a movie. I, Robot is seriously good stuff. Stuff that makes you think. Aside from some crappy dialogue (I mean, a wise-cracking cop just aint my kind of guy), the plot is solid, a bit predictable, but solid. It has philosophical connotations, about self-awareness and how people are governed by laws and emotions, each leading to different outcomes. The balance of logic against heart. Pretty good stuff.

Finally, fren got locked out at my swimming pool. Don't ask me how he got there. So me and housemates went to rescue him, and take pictures, and videoed it all in quicktime goodness.

I Meanie.
