The Mind Is A Dangerous Place

Things that should boggle the mind but do not

Sorry for the lack of updates. I've been pretty busy finishing up an assignment and yes, it's done. Yippee! It's not the best work in the world... but I'm happy with it and that's all that matters.

Just finished Ghost in the Shell: Innocence, the second film to the 1st one almost 20 years ago. And it's probably the most beautiful anime you'll probably see. Seriously, the animation and graphics are nothing short of awe-inspiring. It's, simply put, drop dead gorgeous. The movie is about living dolls and how they are likened to humans. Why do dolls desire to be human? Do they even have that desire in the first place? What is life and the meaning of the universe in the 1st place? Stuff like that. The directing is very arty, making the whole film noir-ish and nostalgic for some reason. The music haunting, at times, and just plain freaky during others. But the pace of the show is slow and well, boring. It's too much of a try-hard in the philosophical field, without much of a climax as well.

But it's so beautiful.

Also finished Full Metal Alchemist, 51 episodes of strife, adventures, alchemy, death and tears. An intricate plot that leads to a sacrifice so heartbreaking, it will make u cry. Unless ur made of stone, alchemy can do that too. I recommend it.

Finally, fren just said he wants to use one of my stories as a theme for his recital. What the..?
